Delete your data

Open Edit account, and at the foot of the page you will find the “Delete account” card. Press “Delete my account”, type the word “delete” in the dialog to confirm, then press “Delete my account permanently”.

Deletion happens at that moment — no request to be reviewed, and no waiting period.

• ·Your account with the sign-in provider (Firebase, from Google) — so you can no longer sign in with it.
• ·Your row in our database: your display name, your role, and the date the account was created.
• ·Your saved stories.
• ·Your likes — and each like reduces its story’s counter by one.
• ·Your ratings and reviews, both the approved ones and those still waiting.
• ·Your submissions that were not published, along with their attachments.

Published stories remain, along with the author name stored on them — separated from an account that is gone. A published story was edited by an editor, attributed to its source, and is read by people; deleting it would break published links and erase someone else’s work.

If you want a story published from your submission withdrawn, that is a request an editor reviews rather than a trace of your account — and you will find it under My submissions.

Write to us from the contact page using the same email address you created the account with, and say that you are requesting the deletion of your data. We delete it by hand and reply telling you what was done.

We ask that the message come from the account’s own address and no other: without that, anyone could take down someone else’s account by typing their address.

Deletion is the same in both cases — from the “Delete account” card on your account page.

And removing the “Mulhm” app from your Google or Facebook settings does not delete your account with us: that only revokes the permission to sign in, while your row stays in our database along with your saved stories. So delete from here, not from there.

The newsletter subscription is independent of the account — someone with no account may subscribe to it. The unsubscribe link is at the foot of every message you received, one press and without signing in, and it deletes your address from the table rather than flagging it.

Deleting your account does not cancel the newsletter subscription, nor the reverse.

Reading on Mulhm without an account collects nothing about you: no network address, no browser fingerprint, and no tracking token. The detail is in the privacy policy.
