Terms of use

Reading the stories is open to everyone, with no account and no charge, and so are searching, browsing, listening to those that have audio, printing, and downloading a PDF copy for yourself.

• ·Saving stories to “Saved stories”.
• ·Liking a story — a reader without an account sees the count but cannot like.
• ·Rating a story or writing a review of it.
• ·Submitting a story for publication.

Subscribing to the newsletter needs no account: your email address is enough.

• ·You are responsible for your password and for what happens from your account.
• ·One email address per account, and details that are true rather than impersonated.
• ·You may delete your account at any time from the account page.
• ·We may suspend an account used for abuse, for impersonation, or to flood the platform with messages.

The stories, their editing, and their cover images belong to Mulhm or to their owners, and are not copied for republication without permission.

You are free to read, save, print, download a copy for yourself, and share the links — sharing is intended, and the button is there for it.

We present them summarised faithfully with their source named, and we attribute neither a saying nor a detail that is not verified. If you find an error, or an attribution out of place, tell us — correcting matters more to us than staying silent.

No religious or historical text is published on Mulhm until an editor has read it. That is why written reviews are reviewed before they appear: a text published unread may attribute to the faith what is not sound.

A like is once per account per story. A rating runs from one star to five, and you may change it or remove it by pressing the same star again.

A written review is read by an editor before it appears to people, and so is the rating you send with it — a verdict submitted alongside words no one has read is not published. You always see what you sent and its status.

If your text is rejected, the reason is written down. You may edit it, which returns it to review, or delete it.

• ·The story stays yours — we publish it under your name and claim no ownership of it.
• ·By submitting it you grant us the right to publish it on Mulhm, in its newsletter, and on its accounts.
• ·We edit it for language without changing its meaning, and we verify its source if it is religious or historical.
• ·Do not submit what is not yours — a text taken from someone else is rejected.
• ·We are not obliged to publish what is submitted: acceptance is an editorial decision.

The status of your submission is shown to you: under review, accepted, or rejected with its reason written out. And we tell you the decision by email.

You may ask for a story published under your name to be hidden, and write your reason. This is a request an editor reviews, not an order carried out at once: a published story was edited by an editor, attributed to its source, and is read by people, so pulling it from a live site is an editorial decision. We tell you the outcome by email, whether granted or declined.

Deleting your account removes you, along with your saved stories, your likes, your ratings, and the submissions that were not published.

Published stories remain, separated from an account that is gone. Deleting them would break published links and erase an editor’s work that no one asked to erase. If you want a story hidden, the way is the withdrawal request above.

Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works at once and without signing in, and unsubscribing deletes your address from our list.

The newsletter is sent by an editor when it is ready, not on a binding schedule — so a late issue is no broken promise.

• ·Attempting to disrupt the platform or to reach other people’s data.
• ·Automated harvesting of the content, or repeated requests that burden the service.
• ·Manipulating like or rating counts — with multiple accounts or otherwise.
• ·Impersonating a person or an organisation.
• ·Submitting anything unlawful, or offensive to a faith, a person, or a group.

We do what we can to keep the platform available and its content sound, and we do not guarantee zero downtime nor complete freedom from error. Nor do we guarantee any outcome from what you read — a story inspires, it does not issue rulings; what concerns your faith, your health, or your money is asked of those qualified in it.

If they change, we change this page and update its date above. Continuing to use the platform after a change is agreement to it.
